I had to pour concrete on the jobsite, on yesterday to make up time from raindays early in the week. I get my hydraulic steering dialed in, moved my steering box forward, and we pointed the motorhome down the road just before noon yesterday. Then I got a call that the wet lands on my jobsite, was overflowing with unacceptable amounts of silt, into the stream system, so back we went. At that point I wasnt gonna drive 24 hours there and back for 1 day of wheelin, like last time. To make matter worse, I was gonna head out to Hollister this morning, but got a call from Rite Aid, that another contractors scaffolding had blown down in the wind storms, in the middle of downtown Sacto, so I had to put together a crew and go take care of that mess.
Im gonna try to get up to Fordyce maybe tommorrow morning, maybe get one day of wheeling out of what wa supposed to be a 4 day weekend.:crybaby2:
Glad you guys had fun, how did Camos rig work?

I dunno, whenever anyone is gathering down there I guess.
I was really looking forward to running Jack with new 105" wheel base, and the hydraulic ram dialed in. Also the CTM joints, I was gonna confirm whether or not they really are indestructable. Oh well I gotta take care of work too, or I wont even be able to afford playing with the toys.

RE:Todd
11-25-2001, 03:29 PM
And I ended up on my side, then my roof, then my other side, then my wheels all at once. Broke the driver's side birf, and snapped the passenger side axle at the birf. Still don't know if it's the locker or not :D:D:D:D:D:D. Nica broke both birfs and maybe the Detroit coming back down.

RE:Todd
11-25-2001, 07:50 PM
For those that were not there, I managed to do a 360 barrel roll, sideways down JackHammer. I think the front diff is broke, went over getting it turned around. First time I've ever rolled a rig, took out both front fenders, rear quarters are damaged, partially crushed the cab, wasted the windshield, and didn't break the sunroof!!!! I did get a small cut and bump on my noggin, but that's harder than the sheetmetal.

I got it back into camp about an hour after you guy's left. Nica broke his birfs right about the same spot I went over. First the left, then the right 20 feet later. I hilifted the cab back into place, taped the windshield, strapped the top on it, and drove it home today. The drive was good, kept it down to about 60 to avoid drawing attention to it. Tracked nice and straight, so I think it's just the body that took the hit. I'll be taking it down to check it out anyway.

As far as the kids, if it starts to get hairy, they come out. It's a whole lot easier to take a little grief and pain, than to give to the kids !!!!

I'll be back, it'll be awhile because I ain't do it with out a tow rig, but I'll be back. I'm already kicking ideas through my head:D:D:D:D.

Pictures will be forthcoming when I get them. Also got to get my red star :D:D.

I'll be alright as far as parts, just need to save up for a tow rig. The scariest part to me was having to worry about getting my kid's home after the roll. Thanks for all of the offers, if I do need something I'll get it out here on the board. My thoughts right now are to find a cab and front clip from a pickup, swap that on, then flatbed the rear (saw one in our local truck trader a couple of weeks ago, 82 needs work, $395.00) Maybe design it with some seats in the back for passengers. Whichever way I go, it'll be fully caged :D:D:D:D.

I still can't get over how the driver's side birf didn't break, but the axle broke at the c-clip in the birf :D:D:D.
