Want axle and gear ratio would be under a Dodge Ram Charger 1979 with a auto 318.
Would these axles be good for a SAS on a 2nd gen Runner??

I'm not really a Dodge expert, but I am gonna say a Dana 44 front with a Chrysler corp. 8 7/8 (?) rear. If you're only going to change the front, you would be better off with a Chevy axle for the matching 6 on 5.5 lug circle.

Rear will be 9-1/4" Chysler corporate. A very strong axle and easy to get a Detroit. These would be fine for 1/2 ton axles, just get the pair.

I'd be getting the complete Charger to get the axles. Anything else I should keep??

Tranny will be a 727, one of the strongest autos ever made. That 318 is a much better engine than came in the 'yotas, so you might want to swap the whole drivetrain. No vacuum disconnect that early; if it doesn't have hubs then it's a full-time with an NP203. Just bolt in a 205 behind the 203 range box with an ORD doubler for a pretty stout drivetrain. You can twin-stick the 205 also. You'll want to do some mods on the 318 to realize it's potential, but there is quite a bit of it to make it worth the effort. Plus, V-8 rumble! :D

Doesn't the '79 front end have the crappy little bearings (semi-float?) and no lock out provisions?
