Anyone out there with 2.5 tons. I am looking to see how you set up your steering? Or have any contacts of someone who would know?

Thanks

i used to have a chevy with 2.5's in it. my steering setup was pretty much a stock box and pump with a dropped drag link and a big-ass pitman arm. the arm is no longer available and the steering was marginal at best anyways. best way to do it is to use Boyce's hydraulic setup. i've seen it on some other rigs and it works pretty good.
call boyce, they'll tell you all about it.
good luck! georg

Boyce does have some good ideas/solutions. You could use a "orbital" valve off of "fork lift/combine" to do your steering with. You also might want to get up with "Lake Rat" on here and consider doing his hydr. assist to operate the steering. I would assume that this would be a trail only rig so steering response would not be a issue...... :D
