I have a 92 toyota landcruiser and am planning on putting a lt1 from a donor 95 vette into it. My question lies upon the transmission and what tranny i can put into it and have Not BREAK under 400 ft/lbs of torque and 350 hp. I have an adapter that will mate my stock a440f automatic transmission to it, but i am aprehensive to spend all the time and money to put the engine in and mate it to that only to break it. I am planning on probably rebuilding it and if anyone knows of someone in the Washington area who builds custom trannys i would like to know of them so they can help me build it up for what it will be used for. I guess my biggest problem is its another 800 dollar adapter to mate another tranny to my t case, and then it will be hard to make a crossmember for it and make it work with my speedo. But its supposedly hard to make the engine shift properly with my stock tranny. All in all i dunno, if you know anything that will help me give me a holler, i have a set of 35 ssrs for it with 4:88s and ARB's front and rear. Ill post it for you all to see once its done but as of not im just doin my homework and collectin parts.
