That looks like him, but he has not said anything that proves he is still alive.

also nothing that proves it even was filmed today,.... no mention of specific conflicts.. specific happenings.... Hell.. he coulda shot that three weeks ago...

They just made a good point on Fox News. Somebody commented that if Saddam was indeed alive WTF did he not say anything about US POW's? You know he would want to brag about something like this...

I don't know what network you guys are watching but I didn't see any changing of camera angles or screens going black, just him sitting straight ahead with the flag off to his right and an emblem behind and slightly to the left. He mentioned the fighting in Um Qasr so even if this a pre-recorded speach it is very recent.

His speeches sound like that of a 3 year old. He jumps subjects all the time like he has ADD. Maybe it just sounds better in Arabic...........

Not necessarily, he made a logical assumption. The troops advancing towards Baghdad would have to go through Um Gasr. He spoke nothing of a battle there, only mentioned a location.

I think it is because the translator is doing it live. It is almost a disservice to force us to listen to such a stilted translation but if it wasn't broadcast live with the shitty interpreter people would probably complain that the translation might be doctored.

ok nevermind, I just watched it again and I guess I never noticed the camera angles because I was watching in french and was concentrating too hard on what was being said to notice the camera angle.

I cancelled my cable but since I still have my internet connection I get a handful of channels and RDI was the only one broadcating the speech. :p
