ok questions, when i was looking at the requirments for this event it mentioned "4WD with a transfer case with low range" now is this just talkin about your stock 4-low or do they want some kind of aftermarket low gearing. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but i am looking into making the drive and just want to be prepared.

This is just talking about a stock 2 speed transfer case. no aftermarket gearing is required.

I think they are just trying to suggest that you not show up in your wifes RAV4. (do they have low, I don't even know)
Any normal Yota truck/ runner. cruiser etc. is welcome at Paragon, you don't need any special crawler gears or anything. Of course they couldn't hurt.

I'll probably be there in the X-cab. If I'm lucky I might even have my new 38" SXs by then. Should be a good time.

Sean did you get my email I sent you awhile back? Yeah I will be going and caravaning sounds good. Glad to see that you will be bringing the MUTANT. I just need to finish up the EFI by putting on my header and doing the fuel system and should be all done for now. John you boggers will fit on my trailer if want to tie them up before hand as well.

What day is everyone going. I am thinking of Thursday or early Fri morning so I can run some trails Fri.

I'll be there, as long as I don't run into any major problems with this SAS (seems like I run into some sort of problem with all my projects)

Exactly. No 2WD's, no AWD's. Amazing we had to stipulate this, but you wouldn't believe what some people think an "off-road event" is.

Is there a limit to the amount of attending vehicles? I know some paragon runs have a cutoff.
Dunno if I can convince some VT boys to show, but I can try. Whaddya say BJowett? Not sure how I feel about an LONG ass ride from northern VT...

Haha, you never know. We got a guy in my club that runs one of those old A/4? wd civics.

Do it up my man , a RAV4 would probably kill Paragon's trails no problem. Level 1 trails that is :flipoff2:

looks like fun, I'll see if I can wrangle my dads runner away from him (don't worry, its locked with a marlin and 33's). There's an early bronco event the same days too.

It's not that bad of a ride...my friend Josh and Lisa live in Burlington...they make the ride to Bloomsburg, PA every year and Bloomsburg is an hour farther than Paragon. C'mon, just go.

I just need to get some seat time in the trails with the 4Runner before the actual event.

I suggest camping Thursday night and wheeling Friday and Saturday. I know when we host our event at Paragon these are the better days. Usually on Sunday everyone is geting ready to go home and about half the people wheel as compared to Friday and Saturday.

Our event will be held there July 11-13, same weekend as the Bloomsburg Jambo, but who wants to look at shiny trucks anyway when you can just wheel instead!

Guess I will have to push the jeep, and F-350 project back, and get one of my toys in. Now comes the question, do I do the 5.0 HO, or the 429? Guess I will have to go with the one that gets the least amount of work. Time will be running out fast.

I am going to try to make it. I am currently looking for a job so I dunno if I will be able to get any time off but if I can I will be there. IFS is welcome, right? :flipoff2: Don't think I will have SAS'd by then. :(

Anyone that is coming 77 to 81, I am going to try to arrange for a huge caravan if it can be worked out. I am exit 118 off of 81 in VA or 5 off 77 in NC if I am at home at the time. I think we can get a whole load of toys together if we try and take over the interstate :D

I can't wait for this event, it has been way too long since my last one. Hell, it has been way too long since I last drove my truck...

i used to live in traverse city, its good to see a michigan presence on the board.

ifs is alright, but depending on lift, you will want the bunny trails. i took my new full size ex cab gmc a couple weeks ago. only needed the strap once, (got high-centered).

does a jeep with toy axles count?

04-27-2003, 08:54 PM
I am in the same boat as toy4x4boy
I won't have my sas done by them, are there alot of good "Bunny trails" as bmf24 put it? this will be my first time ever wheeling with a group and on organized trails, i am looking forward to it.:D

I used to live in NJ, came to MI for college. I have been to Paragon, I am no stranger to it, though it has been a long time. I don't run the bunny trails either. :D

There are tons of trails there, something for everyone. You'll have a great time I'm sure.
