I wasnt sure where to post this but here goes. Im having a problem with a Demon carb i just bought, i cant get the damn thing to run on my Mustang. I had a Carter AFB running perfectly on it 5 minutes before so i know the problems not timing or anything engine related. I cant get it started, it tries to start, then stumbles and dies. I have the fuel level set to the middle line in the float bowls. choke is closed, curb idle screws are 1.5 turns out, gas comes out the accelerator squirter thingys when i push the gas. I dont know what else to check without ripping into the carb which is what i will do tommorow but if anyone has a suggestion i can try before that it would be greatly appreciated. Cant get my bike or my Mustang running and i stink like gas. I hate problems :mad:

Try posting what motor and what carb and everything you listed in Gen 4x4 or newbie tech...just leave out the mustang part. worth a shot...

Can't help ya, but I will say that 2 years ago, these were considered the cow's moo for hotrodders. dunno if times have changed.

No times have not changed. The ONLY carb we will put on a n engine at our shop. You have it set up right from what I am reading. Call Demon they have great service but I have never heard of one not working right when it is put on. Usually fool proof. Good luck.

But this is chit-chat, so I can't help you.
Plus, all my carb-tech is "touchy-feely" carb tech.

I adjust a carb using my ears and my nose...

It worked on :roxy:'s Jeep...

EDIT: Look for an air leak.

sounds like a vacuum leak.

I was going to say they were the shit, but I realized that half of the PBB is brain-dead fawks, and would mis-interpret that as a slam on the carbs, so I used a down-home country term y'all to explain it.
