I'm swapping a currie D44 for a YJ into my ZR2, and I'd like to run the hy-steer crossover steering. Is it possible to do this on a jeep axle with a chevy IFS steering box? Or is hy-steer only compatible with toyota trucks?

I know Chris Geiger from All Pro posts here, so I'm hoping he or someone else will be able to answer this for me.

BTW, I wasn't sure if this belonged in the chevy, jeep, or toyota forum, so i just put it here... :rasta:

What Kind of suspension are you going to use leafs coils or ????. I would think you could get hysteer to work on your box assuming it is a box and not rack and pinion steering. It may require a different tie rod end but that should be it. Maybe have the pitman arm re drilled so they are all the same.

toyotas aren't the only trucks you can do high steer on. Get flat top 44 knuckles and get the 44 arms and good to go as long as it doesn't hit springs or anything.

i have not got a clue what a zr2 steering box is but cross over is possibe on just about anything. you just need to get the correct parts and fab the right brackets.
