PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. (AP) _ A Westchester woman has been charged with assault for allegedly stabbing her blindfolded and handcuffed husband during what police called a "bizarre game."
She stabbed him again after bringing him to the hospital, said William Rehm, deputy commissioner of the county police.
Rehm said the incident began Sunday afternoon when Sheila Davalloo, 33, and her husband, Paul Christos, 36, were engaged in a game involving blindfolds and handcuffs at their home in Pleasantville.
At one point, Davalloo took a paring knife from the kitchen and punctured Christos' chest. Rehm said he wasn't sure if that was part of the game.
He said it took several minutes for Christos to persuade his wife to take him to the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. But in the hospital parking lot, she stabbed him again and they were arguing loudly enough that a passer-by called 911, Rehm said. When police arrived Christos had several wounds to the chest and back and required surgery.
Davalloo fled but was caught by police, Rehm said. She was arraigned Monday in Pleasantville and was being held without bail.
