: What do you think about these beadlock wheels?

These are, from what I am told, an improved design over the original MRT wheel. They are designed by the original MRT beadlock wheel designer who has now joined Allied Wheels. They do have some nice features like a rolled edge on the lock ring to prevent tire cutting if the tire is pinched and it also stiffens the lock ring. They positively center the wheel/tire and the bolts go in true not cocked like I have seen on some beadlock wheels. This helps reduce the stress on the bolts and reduces flex/loosening/breakage. They do seem to have some very positive features. Check them out! Let me know what you think. I am looking into a set. Click below. John

Look pretty nice, but I did not see prices.

I am told at this time they are going for $175 each. I have seen MRT's go for $158 each plus (not clear in their ad) $15 for custom backspace. I know Eaton are less costly but I am concerned about the thin lock rings and bolt failure (not enough bolts). And I, like most, will have to drive on the road to get to trails. I know the most important thing to do is keep the bolts properly torqued at all times for safety! I certainly don't have the $$ for Champion wheels. I have recently been told about the Rockstomper beadlocks but the Allied features do seem positive. I wish I could have them in my hand to compare. John

Maybe you guys need those new "Street lock" wheels...
all the great looks of a beadlock, but without all the useless drawbacks!!!

Moab, what are you talking about these are real beadlocks. I do not like the idea of them selling "streetlocks" because it just brings attention to the authorities (people with badges) that there is a difference. I don't even like them knowing what beadlock wheels even look like! I am just wanting to know what you people might think of the Allied Wheels beadlocks.
