After doing some research and reading several posts arguing Dana 44 vs Ford 8.8, I finally picked up an 8.8 today, 31 splines with disks!!! Much better than my POS Dana 34C.

Yea I know, its not a 60 . But it should hold up nicely with 35s while I'm at college the next few years.

So if any of you wanna come on down to Texas and help me install it, your more then welcome hehe

I'm going to be doing the rear soa on mine this weekend. And I gotta find out who has the whored out community torch. Making spring perches with a grinder sucks.

An 8.8 will beat a 35C anyday. Good luck on your swap. Shouldn't be difficult at all.

It's going good so far, even the spring perches are damn near bolt up, just had to weld the stock hole and drill a new one a little farther out.

Nah it wasn't bad at all...Poor Flem probably had to do more then he bargined for though lol.

Man, you should have seen my 35C housing...I was about to have some serious problems.

Now all thats left is I'm going to replace the rotors (one was about 1/8" thick), brake pads, and tie in the rear brake lines.
