What are the dates? And what day is Easter? We were talking about this at our 4x4 club mtg. tonight, but no one was certain on either date. Thanks. ~Steve

The Easter Jeep Safari is always the week of Easter. The end of the safari is usually the end of the week, Easter Sunday. Sorry I dont have a 2002 Calender yet. :D

OWN TIME in Moab during that week is a good thing! I have given up on going to Moab during that week......Way to many people. If you are going to Moab to wheel during that week.....Forget about it. Some years ago we sat on a trail for 9 hours! We ran that same trail Cane Creek the next time with five rigs and did it in 2.5 hours. The only reason I would go during that week is to check out the rigs and look at the booths at the stadium. But, only my opinion.....:D

But it is better than sitting at home or work for that matter. :D

Definately check out the vendor show, they like to give away free stuff sometimes.

That's exactly why we are planning to go after EJS. It would be cool to see all the rigs, but I'm not driving that far to look at trucks! We are going to go a week or two after, so all the trails are marked, but not too many people. Thanks for all the help, guys. ~Steve

last time I went to EJS was about 9 years ago. And even then I swore never again. I just hate crowds. I only go when I know it is not too crowded.

I remember Safari 9 years ago, about 400 rigs sighned up. You would hate it now, Safari now attracts thousands. It is my favorite week of the year. I love to see everyone. Clifton :jeep:

If you want to go to EJS just do what we did we planned out all our trail runs around the official ones. It worked out pretty good not a lot of traffic or hold ups. 01 EJS was awesome! Got to meet a lot of very cool people & see some very cool rigs. We are going to try & make it next year but not sure.

Ya remember 2 or 3 safari's ago it was cold and snowy. The most snow on record for that time of year. We got interveiwed from the Salt lake news station because we had the only tent standing in Lockheart basin due to the high winds. Luckly I had left the tow bar in the tent, or it would have blown away like everyone elses.
