90 yj stock is what I have but heres my problem


When I'm at a stop (or red light) my rpm will run low, rough (and about 3 time it staled out) and my alt voltage is going crazy jumping to 14 to 8 to 12 and so on. The alt. is fine (I had it checked I even have a new battery)I even changed the pigtail and it didn't fix the problem. does anyone know what might be wrong?

Do a tune up, check for vacuum leaks and make sure your idle is correct. The alternator could be fluctuating due to RPM variance.

I had almost the same problem on my 87. It ended up being a bad chassis ground. I just ran another wire off the battery to a new well grounded location
