I'm kinda confused and thought maybe someone could clear it up. I'm put in a T18A into my 74 CJ5 with a 304.
Centerforce lists the 76-79 clutches as 10.5 OD, 1 1/16 ID, 10 teeth. 74-75 as 10.5 OD, 1 1/8, 10 teeth. But then other sites just list this clutches as 71-83 model CJ5s. So which application is correct for the T18A and 304? What's the best clutch to get for the money?
Thanks,
Devin

I think I got it. T18, T15 and others are 1-1/8, 10 spline. Only T150 is the 1-1/16, 10 spline.
What clutch do you guys prefer???????

I am pretty sure my old T-18 was 10 Spline 1 1/16" Diameter.
The popular setup in my club with the "Hardcore" guys seems to be the Hayes Disc and the Centerforce Pressure Plate.

My Sm420 is 1 1/8 10 spline, Which is the same as the t14, t15, t18
I start out with a luk clutch disc and plate, IT was way to tight on the input shaft. I went to a centerforce and it was one of the easiest clutches I have installed.

Are you using a CJ input shaft or a Ford input shaft? I think the CJ is 1 1/8" and the Ford is 1 1/16", but I would measure to be sure.
My CJ T18a which was originally in a '79 CJ had the 1-1/16", 10 spline input shaft. It is my understanding that from '76-79 they (T18a) were all 1-1/16" and prior to that they were 1-1/8". Have you tried your old clutch disc on the new tranny to see if it fits or not? There's more than one way to skin a cat.

I put in a ford t-18 from a 71 pu and used the stock clutch from the t-150 and 304,,,worked like a dream..
