Boy do I wish we had them last weekend. We broke 3 Spicer 297's/axles etc. in the Warn RCC. There was a guy that Jack loaned the CTM prototype joints to, he was hammering the sh*t out of them with no breakage. I saw them in action and all I can say is even at $150 a pop it would have saved double that in alloy axles in just one weekend. I will definetely be carying these things.

Jack is loaning me a set for the calRocs event:flipoff2:
I talked to him this morning, and he said he is even comming up from So. Cal to watch the event. he told me that they worked awsome at the Warn Championship, and to feel free to just get it awn with the new joints. I cant wait to try em.
You can see how they hold up to V8 power, 160:1 ratio and 38.50x14.50, at calRocs this weekend. We will be in a white YJ (# 3), and wearing his CTM stickers and shirts.

Can crappy stock axleshafts be machined to accept the full clip? If so, by whom? At least I'd be able to use the CTM joints until I can afford the shafts, too.

I was under the impression these joints were going to be 275+ each. 150 a pop is starting to sound a little more reasonable, although still too much imho. Is this price something you guys know for sure? Does anyone have any real data on how much they are and how long they are supposed to last?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that is my sell price. They do work at least so far. They are still not available yet but I should be able to get in on the first order if I get a few more buyers lined up. You can call my shop and put some on backorder. I don't charge it through untill something ships. On machining for full circle clips it can be done but stock shafts are not recomended with these joints, per Jack.

$275 was/is the price for the machined billet joints that are in my rig. He's getting them forged soon, and figures the price to be in the $150 range.

I wouldn't run them in stock axles. IMO.

I could see how they wouldn't want them in stock axles, and I obviously couldn't bitch if my axle shaft broke and took out one of the ujoints.

Though, all told, the $300 for the joints and $500 for the axles is quite a bit easier to take than the cost of a 60...

Are you saying that the 297x breakage took out even the alloy ears? Everybody is telling me that the alloys will stand up to that breakage. Hmmm...maybe not?

Jack says he is offering a lifetime warranty with them also.
Thats not a bad price, for reliability, and a warranty.

Yes they take out the ears almost everytime. Fawk the cost of brocken U joints the axles are a killer. And no they won't stand up to u joints grenading.

FWIW, I broke 7 297x's this season on the same set of Warn axles before the ears let go.
