: Check Engine Light QUestion - 91 YJ

1991 Jeep YJ / 6cyl / TF999 / D300 / 14b/d44

It seems that after I put on a different diameter tire my check engine light turns on, and then after I turn the jeep off and start it up again the light never turns back on...

Is there such a thing that monitors the speedo / odo and when there is a drastic change it gives off a lil alarm?? (38s-- >37s and then 37s to 42s)

The light never comes on any other time... is this just coincedence or ???? :confused: :confused:

My 91 never had the Check engine light come on when I changed tire size. Its only come on for the TPS.

Get a Haynes manual and check your codes.....that will tell you WHY the check engine light came on ;)
