I got a 137 page manual in pdf format I want to print. I tried it on my computer and it printed the cover page, then just spit the papers out without printing.

I also tried it on 4 other computers hooked to the network with 4 different printers and it did the same thing!

I am at a loss, my adobe is up to date.

Ideas?

try printing it one page at a time.

do you have photoshop? you can import the PDF into photoshop, render each page and then print it that way.

it's tedious, but it works.

Best thing to do is to save it first. then print it out using the print icon

Go to File and select document security.

Is printing allowed?

Do you have "print as image" checked in the print dialog? A lot of PDFs won't print properly without that option on.

Did you uncheck the box in "Options" where it says:

"Print one page and then spit out blank pages."

??

I print a LOT of pdfs. I often experience something where there's a booger in the file and it can really whack with your print driver. Problem often manifests itself in some form or variation of what you're seeing. In fact I'm dealing with one right now! (USB2.0 spec).

I found that a lot of times if you just break it down and only print in chunks of like 50 or 100 pages at a time it'll work. Kind of a PITA, but it works (well.....most of the time).

Depending on the printer you have it's 99.9 % of the time the printer driver. Go to the printer properties and see what driver your using. If your using a PS post script driver switch it to the other one.

I have an HP4500 they are listed like this:

4500HP
4500PS
4500pcl6
4500pcl5

The PS won't print but 3-5 pages in the PDF. It has to do with the imbedded fonts.

What printer and driver are you using?
