iamjacob 03-30-2003, 05:41 PM I'm setting up my new FJ-80 High pinion and I have a couple of questions. I have set up my V6 rear and my old IFS front but neither one had an oil slinger or retainer like this high pinion does. Where exactly do they go? Between the solid spacer/crush sleeve and bearing? The slinger is to keep the bearings lubricated right? iamjacob 03-30-2003, 05:41 PM The oil retainer foley 03-31-2003, 08:27 AM I've only worked on dana high pinion axles, but the slinger on them goes between the gear surface of the pinion and the first pinion bearing.. Stackup should be: Pinion, Slinger, shims, bearing, crush sleeve, bearing, oil retainer, seal, yoke, nut. obviously AFTER the races are installed but like I said, that is for Dana front ends, I am not familiar with yours.
