: How and the hell do I get ahold of "Station"
desertoy 03-31-2003, 10:48 AM e-mail and voice mail doesn't seem to work. This money is burning a hole in my pocket, I NEED HYDRO STEERING!
Who else can I call? There has got to be someone that has a quality product that needs my money.
fabricator 03-31-2003, 10:57 AM voice mail will work
usually takes a couple of days
but he does return the calls
I also need to order stuff
I personally think that it will be worth the wait.
Dealboy 03-31-2003, 11:00 AM i am having the same problem left 3 voice mails and email .
fcfred 03-31-2003, 11:00 AM he's out of town
contact john351c he may be able to get a hold of him
BillaVista 03-31-2003, 11:32 AM Be patient - you'll be really really glad you did.
It's worth the wait, I ordered the double ended ram from him and it's one stout bitch. However I still have not recieved the orbital valve, which is ok because so far I'm very pleased with the product. He will call you back, he's really good about that.
liquidkool 03-31-2003, 12:30 PM Anyone know when he will be back in town or the number to leave voice mail? I tried emailing but it has been a week or so i think without a response. :(

if you want a competly engineered system that has been developed and proven in off road desert racing over the last 15 years. then give jeff howe from howe performance steering a call. Jeff has been at the forefront of off road steering systems for longer than most of the guys on this board have been wheeling.
howe has the experiance, knowledge and parts to handle any job. i used his stuff in desert racing for 10 years, i have run his ram assist on my rig since before competion rock crawling was around and i now use his newest full ram setup.
give jeff a call monday thru friday 8-5 pst

No doubt Jeff knows his stuff, but Stations double ended ram is a hell of alot more stout than Jeffs. It's not as pretty but it can probably take a hit or two, .250 wall cylinder fawkin' heavy.:D

thats a pretty bold statment considering even i would deem the howe ram bullet proof. it is made from dom and is .250 thick with a 1 1/8 shaft. if you break it then you probally have just been hit with a nuculear explosive device.
Mustard Dog 03-31-2003, 03:58 PM Hey John, you got enough of that burning cash to get me one too, you know I needs it:D :D

Had too, if they were his words it'd read "camo proof" not "bullet proof".:D
desertoy 03-31-2003, 04:52 PM Ya know, when a guy doesn't return my phone calls for a week, that tells me that he either is wealthy enough that he doesn't need my money or he doesn't have his act together. Why would I want to buy something from a guy who doesn't have his act together?
So I took Camo's advise and called Howe. Jeff Howe spent a half hour on the phone with me answering my questions and explaining his product to me. His knowledge and experience about hydraulic steering goes back 20 years and he explains things in terms I can even understand.
The bottom line is, My Howe hydraulic steering system will be shipped tomorrow. So while all you guys are waiting for Station to call you back, I will be installing my new HYDRO STEER! :flipoff2:
Mustard Dog 03-31-2003, 04:56 PM Howe much it cost:confused:
You like that little pun I threw in there:flipoff2:

You'll have to wait for the tech article :flipoff2:
fabricator 03-31-2003, 08:39 PM I don't have that kind of coin.
so i will wait.
RockRover 03-31-2003, 08:53 PM Jeff's stuff is sexy, but you sure can't beat the 'local' boy price and service. Sean has contributed a TON to this board with clear and concise knowledge of hydro systems....Be paitient...You'll be glad you did.

DUDE!! sorry to dissapoint you. Take it easy on me though, everybody needs to get away from their work every once in awhile.... I was actually on the phone for 5 hours one of my vacation days(wednesday) on the cell phone answeing my voice mail, but just didn't have time to take care of everyone all week.
Yikes, I am gone for one week and look what happens!!!! I come back to 2 weeks worth of work for 1 weeks vacation, and a thread on Pirate with 10 people looking for/bagging on me. If I can just figure out how to do business efficently while on vacation, I just need to be on vacation all the time, because business always goes through the roof while I am on vacation. lol
A friend of mine gave me the advice of hiring a personal answering service.. I guess I should have atleast changed my voicemail message to let you guys know what was going on. I will know better next time.......
Sorry once more....
Sean
Vermin 03-31-2003, 10:32 PM Taking a vacation is hard on the wheeling crowds when you do it a few weeks before a major yearly event. You don't have to bother returning my calls.. I'll be picking up some stuff localy. Moab can't wait.
Rob.
desertoy 04-01-2003, 06:59 AM BEEEEEP: "Hey guys, I'm on vacation until April 1, so chill out and I will call you when I get back" BEEEEEP.
It all goes back to having your act together.
I have always said this and it seems to be true in almost every instance.
When someone has a natural talent, for some reason god must have to remove the reliability card to get the talent card to fit.
No hard feelings Sean, but your competitor is making up for his higher prices with service.

Come on, cut him some slack. I'm sure you have never dropped the ball, he's a one man operation.
Camo, which ram are you running from Howe? The only double ended ram I have seen from Howe is the pretty aluminum one. I have talked to Jeff a couple of times and I think he has a great product, I am running his pumps and reservoirs. I guess I'm just not in that big of a hurry to get my buggy done. I also think you would like the ram that Sean is selling, it may even be Camo proof.:D
howe does not make an aluminum double ended ram. his steel one is plated and is silver in color. perhaps you confused the plating for aluminum or actually saw a aluminum ram that was not from howe.
