I can't believe it's come to this but I can't afford a 2000 something Duramax and need a diesel and want solid axle...that being said, in 97 they did offer a older model short box diesel crew cab 4x4 with solid axle in a F350 correct?

Flipped through an outdated KBB... only shows the F350 Crew Cab as Long Beds from '94-'2000. Buy a long bed, and bob it! :D
Odd thing... they show 3/4 ton crew cab as only short beds??? (i.e. 97)
Oh nice thing about KBB books... VIN# decoder makes it a little easier to figure out what someone is selling (chassis, engine, etc) or for wrecking yard searches (never know when I'll find that sweet Vortec!)

The F350 crew cab where only avalible in a long bed they did have a solid front axle though.
The short box crew cab is a F250 with the TTB front end (pos).
If I am wrong let me know but I a almost 100% sure on this.

Buddy of mine has one - 460 powered. But yeah, F250 Crew-cab, shortbed, TTB front.

You guys are right....350= long bed only/solid axle
350=short or long bed/TTB up front.
TTB isn't crap, just to people who don't know how to treat it.:flipoff2:
