I was wondering if anyone hear has a Vulcan 1500.

Reason: I have been looking for some parts, IE: seats, pipes, etc.. and i have not found a ton of info on them, hoping maybe someone else has one and may be able to assist in place to look.

Thanks
Ken C

Trying to get my brother (Priest) to jump in here. Might be Monday before we hear from him though.

What model of Vulcan 1500 do you have (Classic, A, Mean Streak)? For a good board with lots of good people and good info VROC (Vulcan Riders and Owners Club) (http://www.vroc.org) .

I get most of my parts through Sherm's Cycle Products (http://www.shermscycleproducts.com/home.htm) . They are really cool and they deal mainly with Metric cruisers and more specifically with Vulcans. If you join VROC (which is free) Sherms will give you an additional discount.

As far as mods go man... skys the limit. Check out Cruiser Magazine as they have a lot of great product reviews and so on. The first thing to do is to jet the carb and get rid of all the factory plastic airbox crap. Thunder Mfg. sells the kits to do this (I have a thunder kit on my bike). Also you will want to ditch the reed valves (air injection smog crap)... check the FAQ on the VROC page for all the information to make sense out of this stuff.

Here is a pic of my bike.... '98 Vulcan Classic 1500 Thunder intake, jetted carb, V&H Pro Pipe, Cobra spot light bar up front, Corbin seat and so on. My buddy and I recently painted it after a not so graceful dismount I had.

Post on up if you have any specific questions.

Just do a search on the weeeeb for parts. When looking for stuff for my voyager the vulcan comes up big time. There is alot of aftermarket stuff out there for them.

Thanks for the info.

My bike is a: '95 Vulcan Classic 1500.

I will try to take a pic and post it.
Now mine is not as nice as yours, but give me some time and I can change that. :)

Cool, the only real difference between my bike and yours is I've got a 5spd gear box vs. the 4spd in your bike. Most of the guys that do slow speed touring in the hills and what not say they perfer the 4spd box. For tooling down the freeway at 70mph the 5spd box is better.

Hope you enjoy the bike.

Yes, the "A" type commonly refered to as the BUBF (Butt Ugly But Fast... althought I don't think they are ugly) or bubba. Much quicker than the classic because they are a fair bit lighter.

Those bike have a great following and a ton of aftermarket support. Keep us in the loop as you start the mods... :D
