Think about it, we're flying some 2-3000 sorties a DAY over there, and this is the first *plane* they've managed to down.

this is by no means a vietnam. hell, this isn't even a somalia yet. this is a war and things do happen in war. The first gulf war has led many americans to believe that we are invinceable and that anybody we fight will not be able to kill any of us. I am not saying that it isn't tragic. but come un.....when we went into Afgan I remember a front page, huge print, bold headline that read "1 American soldier killed" like it was the end and we were loosing the war. :rolleyes:

I pray for teh soldiers, airmen, and all others over there, I pray for those who are POW or MIA, and I pray for all the families....but casualties and losses are to be expected. lets compare our losses so far to that of the Iraqi military.
