A guy on a recent run was saying that AR wheels have a better bead than other brands. He said he's seen a lot more tires off the bead of other brands than he has on ARs. He's a pretty experienced 'wheeler.
Anybody else notice this?

Since you're in vermont, I'll assume you're not referring to me! I feel the same way. I have had ar's for 9 years and only blown like 5 beads in that whole time. I generally air down to 4 or 5 for the rocks and 1 or 2 for the snow. Most tire machines struggle to break the bead.

I bought a new set of ARs a couple months back and the shop that mounted them up told me they were surprised at how large the beads were. :usa:

I run my at 6psi on the trail and haven't popped a bead yet, knock on wood, don't know if its the ARs or just luck hehe

you know this is rather odd, i have an OLD set of AR and i normally go down to 6-7-8 PSI and never lost one,
even when i sliced my sidewall i kept going on the rocks for another 10 feet and the bead was still on
