Picked up an 85 xj for 300 bucks has a 4 banger and a 4 speed 4.10 gears
What would you do to it (cheep) to make a great beater I already have a locker in the shed to throw in the dana30

sawzall the crap out of it and put 35s or something on it, then chop the top off and build a cage. that would be badass
i think a guy named billy badass has exactly what im talkin about:D

build a 2" x 4" subframe under it mount it to all the suspension mounts add leaf springs and cut the fenders run 35's or get new axles and you could build enough lift into it for :eek: u get the idea

I have seen one that was cut to shreds. the guy put a cage on it, some bald 33's, and wheeled the hell out of it. The thing went everywhere. It was uglier than sin but ranked really high on the cool factor. I saw him on the Barret lake jeep trail. I think he was running a 4 banger too.
