83 Cherokee Chief Wide Track, drives great and I used it for a daily for 3 months, it has been parked under a cover for the last 3 months and I went out a few nights ago to show it and it fired right up the first try!
Body/Interior: Gold paint that is fading and has some small surface rust, but nothing all the way through except rear quarter panel. Other than that the body is VERY straight and the frame is rust free including the gas tank. I have pulled most of the carpet out of the inside. The seats are decent, but I have put covers over them. Both front seats have working power adjustments. The rear seat is perfect. The side panels are decent. The dash is not cracked and all windows are intact. The headliner is near perfect. The rear power window worked before I parked it but is not going up and down very well now. Both doors line up and open and close great.
Tires: Brand New Discovery AT 31's
Mechanical: 114,000 miles.
New Radiator
New motor mounts
New exhaust
New Battery and Cables
Newer Starter and Solenoid
New U-Joints
New Axle Shafts
New Front Wheel Bearings
New Warn Lockout Hubs
New K&N Filter
New Fluids in Everything
Rebuilt Carb
Swapped in NP205(had 50k miles on it), Completely rebuilt 727 Done by a Pro for $1500.
Known problems: battery will not hold a charge. I have put in a new battery, checked grounds, but there must be a short someplace. Generally the battery will last a few days without being started. Rear window is not working today, but has power and worked well before. Front shocks need replacing. This vehicle passed the easy emissions in Maryland, but I would be selling it as is here.
