Can a governor be removed in a C4 Auto?

I might need to remove the governor and everything that stick out past the main case on a C4 (to fit a 203 low range box).

Can this be done? Why or why not?

Can a governor be removed from the land of Jesse Ventura.

Yes, I have heard of Early Bronco guys changing them in their C4's, but I have never done it.

You might want to post this in the Ford seection........if you havent already???

Sure one snap ring and its out.:flipoff2: If you convert to full flow then I think you can remove it.

Let me check with a few refrences when I get home on Sunday. I know that they do some mods to it.
