Yea, I have a large home made cargo box back there now (it is on my site) So that will have to come out and I think I will end up making a "surround" back there.. I have to look at making a frame work for a seat and build side boxes and maybe one under the seat.. The pad the seat & get it covered and cover the side boxes as well...

I guess you don't remember me. We met at EC4RJ 02. I am Josh from 4x4wire 4Runner board. I had the black 91 on 33" MT/R's, detroit rear w/ 5.29's, ARB front and allpro rear and sliders. Then I sold out and bought a TJ:D Congrats on the new kiddo. I want one:(

I am debating buying a YJ (??) 88 Wrangler I have a guy I wouk with that has a 4cyl 5spd with a pretty good body and hard top.. It is all stock, and I am thinking maybe 235's max tire size and just playing with it on the street as a toy. (I don't really want to put the $$ into a second rig) But if I bought it it would be a second for me for work and it is not well suited for my job... So I am still undecided on it. I can pick it up for a grand though ;)

Dont, the 4 cyl is severly underpowered and does nto get good gas milage, no road advantages

I'll tell ya, sometimes I miss the runner, but once you drive a SWB, you wont want anything else!

Firefyter - congrats on the news of a girl!!! I have 2 of them (6mos and 20 mos) they are a lot of fun. we are sill working on the boy but for now girls are kewl!!! Your boys will enjoy having a sister(maybe not at first but later).

PS- for a grand its a good deal, even if you dont like it. you will definetely get your money back if not more. The boys may like bouncing around in it with the top off.My daughters love our YJ.

Yea, that is my hanging point.. I mean it would be fun in the summer with the top off.. ( I am an Insurance Appraiser and I am on the road most of the day..) I have used this Jeep for work a couple times and it was not bad.. Power was fair (hell, my 4Runner with the 3.0 sucks too) Although, I am driving a 87 T-Bird with a 5.0 now. :D Part of me says, "the heck with it.. just got for it.. it will be fun and cool" and them the other half tells me " Hey moron.. You have your 4Runner mildly built up already, what the hell do you need it for??" What I really SHOULD have is a decent car with decent gas mileage.. If I could find a really nice mid 90's Lumina 2 door (maybe a Z34??) or a Grand Marquis, or a 96 and up Taurus... I am trying to keep it under $2500 because I put about 50k a year on a car... I found a really nice 94 Grand Marquis, loaded to the gills with under 100k for $1695, but it has a miss (could be simple, could be big.. I sould look into it better)
