Are Planning to File a Lawsuit asking for IMMEDIATE CLOSURE!!!

We have been informed, by VERY reliable sources, that the SC/EDC plan to issue a lawsuit early next week (prior to the Thanksgiving Weekend). This lawsuit demands IMMEDIATE CLOSURE of the ODSVRA.

This action can only be successful if the SC/EDC can manipulate the data to impress an un-suspecting Judge that this is needed. A Judge could then issue the beach closed immediately. At this point, legal action would begin where we could argue our case and hope to get our beach back.

We need your help to inform as many politicians as possible that YOU want them to apply pressure to all the proper authorities to ensure that our Public Right to enjoy our STATE PARK is not blocked.

Please start sending letters to: distribution@oceanodunes.org

A sample letter can be found at:

I got this e-mail back:I spoke with Ranger Andrew Zilke this morning, and he assured me that the
rumors currently circulating regarding imminent closure of the Oceano Dunes
SVRA are just that, rumors with no foundation. The California Department of
Parks and Recreation continues to meet all regulatory mandates. The Grover
Beach Chamber of Commerce remains a strong advocate of keeping the
recreational area open to vehicles.

I also got a courtesy letter back from Diane Fienstien.
