I have an 88 with a stock carb and it wont pass emissions due to it motor boating at 2500 rpm and what i mean by motor boating is it wont hold 2500 rpm it will drop to 1800 as if the key was shut off and then rev to 2500 and over and over you get the idea and since we have a 2500 rpm part of out emissions in boise here it fails since it wont hold a constant 2500 rpm. it's running fine at an idle co and hc wise and passes at an idle so a vaccume leak is not an issue also when it motorboats at 2500 rpm i hear a solenoid in the carb clicking with the rythm... it passed last year with a weber and it is driving me crazy figuring this out I have all new vaccume lines and parts egr diaphrams and one way restrictors but it still does it I even changed out the computer and o2 sensor???:confused: :confused:
