I know there is more than likely abunch of HD rider's on here, but i 'm looking for a website that specials in them, like this one is to wheelers. Just looking to ask some newbie questions and maybe buy and sell some parts.

Take a look at Harleydavidsonforum.com, it is very similar to Pirate in configuration. Do you have a bike or looking. I'm in the process of building a replica of an early '70s FLH, Shovelhead and all. Hope this helps.

well i'm not new to bikes, but I am to harleys. I just got my first HD bike, a wide glide. One of my big questions is about the carb, it's a S&S Super G. It's had a fresh reduild and runs fine, it just has a bad hesitation when you nail it from a idle. It picks right up after a split second wait, but i want to get rid of that wait:D . I've asked around and it seems the general consensus is that it's the carb, and they are known for doing that. Well I wanted to tinker with it before I abandon ship and toss it for something else. thanks for your response.

My Harley is an S1W Buell. It is a very fast bike, no, not as fast as the current crop of Japanesse Superbikes but I have no business going that fast. I want to stick around awhile. Contrary to what you might have heard the Buells are great bikes. I have had no trouble with my S1W at all. It has been hot rodded with Nallin Racing parts, big bore pistons, cams and the like and now has around 115hp at the rear wheel. I'm putting in a balancer now and it's down for that. Check them out at: www.buell.com

does it have an excelerator pump?

can you tune the pump so that it squirts more or less fuel when you crank the "go forward" grip?

probabley isn't going to be much help but i tried.:p

One of my big questions is about the carb, it's a S&S Super G.

What year bike? A G is too big and you will loose low end response with it. Yeah, adjust the accell pump, but that won't cure it completely. Whoever mentioned the slant eye'd Mikuni was on the right track.
