Well Guys,

I dropped off my rig this AM at Pioneer Garage in Peabody with a list of symptoms, what i had done and tried and etc....

I called around 2pm and the lady that answered said it was "All Set" and could be picked up, she said the mechanic was busy and she didnt have any details so i was curious what was wrong so i left work to go get it.

Phil (the owner) told me that he has a guy that works there and guessed it was the MAP sensor right off the bat, they had one in stock, tried it and all was good!

Whammo: Perfectly smooth 800-900rpm idle, no more hesitation when taking off, no more diesaling, no more backfiring!

The difference is literally night and day and i am ecstatic that it is fixed.

I replaced the MAP sensor with a spare i had on my spare motor and sure enough with my luck, that was bad too. I think they should rename that saying to KEVINS LAW

Anyways, the guys at Pioneer were awesome, very helpful and honest. I highly recommend them.

Ok, i will shut up now, i feel like a kid that just found a huge box of candy!

I am going to go drive around now and stop a lights and listen to it purr!

LOL

Thanks to all that offered help and ideas!

There's not much that pisses me off more than to find out the part I swapped in to help isolate a problem was also bad, making it appear the problem is elsewhere! Glad they fixed your problem so easily and quickly, that's not always the case with today's computer controlled engines!
