I lost my instruction booklet and in class today the instructor want sus to come to school next monday and tell him what the number son the side of the pinion mean? The ones scribed on, dont the ones on the ring tell yuo about the backlash? Help would be appreciated, thanks. I forgot what they mean. Already set the ring and pinions up and now I dont have th einstructions, should have saved them.

I believe those numbers indicate the proper pinion depth.

The tooth count of both the ring and pinion are both stamped on the side of the ring gear adn on the shaft of the pinion as well
