Some of y'all know about the chick that cut a chunk of her finger off where I work. Well, she's been off for a week. She called in...she has to take another week off.

Whats funnier is I check the mail. Well..that part's not funny, but this one is. :flipoff2:

I came across a letter we're supposed to send to this girl from the insurance. It said that their records show that she has no reason not to return to employment. It was dated the day after her accident.

Why do people feel they need to milk it?

We were already severly short handed before she went pansy on us

I saw a show the other day showing people that thought they could milk the system and get away with it. Once found out, they had to repay all the money.

One guy said he had a broken ancle and was seen out flyting a kite. Another said he hurt his back to the point that he couldn't bend it and was seen building an addition on a house without any assistance.

People wonder why their rates are sooo expensive??

I say, get her back to work and make her tough it out.

She should be back at work. Especially if you got a letter stating that she could return.

I get to go back to work on Monday wohoooo can't wait myself.
February 23rd My vehicle was rear ended. After only one week at my new Job :( anyhow after getting hit I got out of the car to excahnge insurance inof and be on my way but the kid other driver who hit my car backed up over my foot and yes I was trying to get out of the way he either struck me or I lost my balnce due to his tire on my foot. I fell slammin my head on pavement (8 stitches and a goose egg the size of a softball)
and seveer leg pain from when he proceeded forward ran up my left leg Broken leg :( . Now I'm better and still glad to be breathing and doc still said on thursday you not going back to work well I told him.
1. I'm going nuts
2. I've ran out of things that I had stockpiled to do other than heavy stuff that I still haven't done.
3. I'm running low on cash
4. we had to buy a new vehicle b/c my stuff is too tall for a guy that has a broken leg. To be getting in and out of and our saturn was too damn small to get in and out of with a broken and imobilized leg, so unless you (the doc) wants to pay my new car payment I'm going back to work.

evidently he didnt want to make my vehicle payment so I'm going back to work:D on restrictions obviously but I'm going back none the less

She probably feels she can milk it longer because the accident happened at work. Normally the employer could require a note from the doctor excusing her from work, but I'm not sure in this case. If your employer were to push that issue she might turn on them because she was hurt *on the job*. They may be nervous about her taking action against them. I hate people that use the system! :roxy:

Well, my boss is a really nice guy so he wouldn't push the issue. That's what really pisses me off cause he's such a good boss ya know?

Did you beat the snot out of the kid? I would have. Even with a broken leg, I would still have tried. I would be fawkin pissed.

I know what you mean, though. When I broke my arm a few years back, I spent about a week nursing it, and then couldn't take it anymore, and had to go out and do something. I actually sweat enough to wash all the dead skin and such off, and it didn't itch.

I had the opposite happen on the injury that ended up retiring me.

My first Dr. told me to go back to work (full duty at the L.A. County Jail) ONE WEEK after breaking my left clavicle in half

OMG that is awful.... I'm glad you didn't get any more injured. Last year in town here a guy in a truck ran over a guy on a bicycle. The initial hit was the bike t-boned the truck. Driver of truck backed up (he was pulling onto the street and didn't know what he hit) and killed the other guy. (ran over his head  )

I've had that vehicle situation b4 too. My F350 was a bit tall for me to get in after my first lap (abdominal surgery). My bf at the time had a lowered  Blazer. I shocked the shiat out of both of us asking if we could trade vehicles while I recovered. I hated driving (and being seen in) a lowered chevy lol. But I was lucky that vehicle was available.

Good luck on going back to work.

I was just talking to my buddy who works at the towers. They had some skinny guy about 5'5" in the visitors booth. When they were taking him back to his cell he refused to allow anyone to cuff him. Took five people to restrain him and cuff him. Some people get inhuman strength sometimes. No way I would expect you to go back into the wolf's den with a broken clavicle. It's too much a risk.
