I need to get some extended brake lines, does anyone know who sells them for the best price? If someone has a part number that would be most helpful too......thanks.

Most calipers use either a 3/8" or 5/16" bolt in them and the upper line should be 3/16" line. You can get branded lines just about anywhere. Some Jeeps ones will fit...Try your local 4wd shop.

I would stay away from the s.s. lines. I have had them break and know many people that have had problems with them.

The flexible braided stainless steel lines? They are DOT approved. I have not heard of any DOT ss braided brake lines breaking. Maybe some of the early non DOT's, but the new ones look really sharp.

I have the SS front lines from Skyjacker and they are awesome! I have to get longer ones tho cause they are too short for my SOA. Let me know if anybody is interested in them.:D :) :D :)

Hey Chris, there used to be a guy in Colorado Springs that would make you a stainless-steel braided line, any length you wanted, using your old fittings. When I did my SOA I was having problems finding lines that were long enough (same problem Brandon appears to have) and would still fit my existing hardware, and I just took the rubber lines to Applied Hose Products and the guy made them into custom-length S. S. lines in an hour for about $100.

I haven't had any problems with them at all, and they have been on since August of 1999. No leaks, no nothing.

I don't know if he is still in business (he just had a little tiny shop in Old Colorado City), but a phone # to try is (719)227-3952.

Good luck,
Aubrey

Aubrey, Thanks for the info, but i was thinking about getting those if the price is right for my daily driver 1980 diesel with a 4" lift since i'am a cheep skate, I can get the skyjackers new for about $110.00 through a friend, as for my Terra with a spring over and about 9" lift total i ordered mine from Speedway motors and i think they cost me Less then $90.00 for all 3 wth the AN adapters and have never had any problems with them leaking or being to short. Thanks
