Didn't know where to search so I 'll start in the newbie section for someone to lend a hand. I just installed a 38DGAS Carb in my 85' 4 runner with the 22r engine. Starting and running in idle sounds and does great. When I put it into gear and step on the gas it just starts to bogg down.(No Power???) The 4 runner sat for at least a year and the carb sat also as long on another engine. I already changed out the fuel and filter checked the brake booster and other vacuum lines for leaks. I also did the carb spray check around the base of the carb for any other leaks.

What else can I check to get this damn thing some power!

get a vacuum diagram. maybe you have a couple of vacuum lines crossed. my friend just solved this same problem on a 22r of his. get some carb cleaner and mess with the adjustments(carefully)
