ok.. i tried search.. but nothing addressed this problem..

i have a cab and chassis 14 bolt.. and i would like to replace the outer wheel bearing.. but... the hub.. well.. it gets thicker towards the end.. where the shaft bolts up.. its about a 3/16" thicker..
so how do you get the bearing and race out? am i just missing something here...

To get the outer bearing out on mine, I had to remove the inner seal, bearing, race, and the big snap ring inside. Then drive out the outer race, and finally the bearing will come out. Grease the new bearing, set it in, pound in the outer race, install the snap ring. Pound the outer race till it seats on the snap ring. Install the inner race and bearing, and finally the seal. It is a pain in the ass to get to one bearing, but we gotta have some fun. :D
