Debka is reporting that top Iraqis are now in France and that US Special OPs are already in Syria

DEBKAfile reveals: Top Iraqis reach Paris as France connives with Syria to rescue Saddam regime leaders - exacerbating the Franco-American crisis. US special operations troops in Syria scout out Iraqi hideouts after a Bush ultimatum is delivered to Assad.

I don't think I believe either point made above; the French president would have to be FLAMING stupid to risk the already damaged relationship with the US to host Saddam, and why would the French do that in the first place? Saddam is of no consequence outside of Iraq...

I also don't believe that US special forces are on the ground in Syria, not with the strained US/Sryia relationship at this time.

This part I would believe. Not in a combat role, just as a watch/listen role.

If the French did that they'd be done, I also don't believe they are THAT stupid;)
