I personally think that we keep approaching this issue from the wrong standpoint. As this judge pointed out, the Antiquities Act is Constutitional (and has been upheld in court several times). I think that the key point here is looking at the wording of what the Antiquities Act actually allows (minimum land needed to protect resource). How can any Federal Judge not see that 500K to 1M acres set aside to protect Sequoia groves that only occupy 7K acres is ridiculous. I think the lawsuits should be aimed in this area and not aginst the Antiquities Act itself. I think we would have a better chance of winning that way.
