I am aquiring a fullsize blazer (circa 1985) frame for free and plan to go fully custom suspension on it...the only problem I am running into is the fact that I don't want a fullsize. I need pics and info on how to mat any kind of Jeep body/tub onto a fullsize frame.

I know...I can do this with just a little custom welding and some ingenuity but I prefer to look at pics of those who have done it for ideas.

so...any ideas?

smart idea, you can get some beef cheaper that way. Go for it!

I will say from f**king up like I did DONOT cut the frame in the midle to shortin it!!!

hell I have no problem taking a plasma cutter to the frame.....but yuo hit it dead on. I want to shorten the rear if anything and keep the main part of the frame intact if possible. although I plan on sticking with leaves in the rear....that doesn't leave too much room to chop that I can see. oh, your pics don't show up...what is the url where I can see how you're doing it?

btw: I found a supplier with a stockpile of m-715 parts so Im probably going to run the m-715 dana 60 front and 70 rear.....anyone know how to get rid of those absurd bolt patterns?

Be advised that the M-715 parts are pricie. Also you can convert them to disc and eight lug, but again big$$. You may find yourself better off to go with standard rears.

Also my friend is looking for lots of the smaller pieces for the 715. Does this guy have an email or web site?

If you can get away from cutting the frame in the midle you will be beter off I have a real scewed up Drive shaft angel now, 23" long drive shaft at a 47* angel <IMG SRC="smilies/mad.gif" border="0"> I hope to fix some of that when I do the 1/4 elliptical rear <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I am taking a trip within the next week to se what all this guy has...I guess he has a ton of stuff and is selling it off cheap for those interested (who are few and far between) what all parts are you looking for?

There is a guy here in town who took a blazer frame and put a jeepster tub on it. Full width axles and a cage. It look sweet and from what I have heard, it wasnt too hard.

DOES ANYONE HAVE PICS OF THIS BEING DONE ON A CHEVY FRAME?????????????
