I am doing a springover on my 82 J10, and I have 2 questions, the first is, how much do I need to turn the knuckles to get the desired amount of caster back(stock D44 with waggie 7 leafs and full length add a leaf, or Rancho 44044s, Opinions??? Also using a extended length shackle, Rustys rear XJ greasable shackle should work)???? The second question is, shackle reverse or standard configuration?? Standard would provide better clearance, no issues with the rear of the fender, but reverse assumes a more natural movement???? (driveshaft travel length???) ANY help would be appreciated!!!

i would say leave the stock front out and get a chevy or dodge front end unless the pumkin is on pass. side then you have to grind the welds and beat the crap out of them so they move and i wouldnt worry about the shackle reversal, and use the 4044s ranchos they seem to work the best have fun

front axle is a drivers side pumkin drop, seems best to keep it, I looked around for this setup in a SOA config., but no joy. I'm takin it to Sunray Engineering to get the welding done, and they have an incredible rep., so I think I'll be OK.
