I have no idea but it usually is not known until last minute it seems.
Check all major comp. series, and see what weekends in Oct. that there are events, and you can bet that it will not be any of those weekends. That will at least narrow it down. If anyone knows ill bet dogwalker does.

Top Gun (Dana Holland's group) is talking about the June 7-8 weekend.

However, that's also the weekend that the POR and FOTR group want to do the little sluice bypass work.

The main cleanups will start after the trail is really open and ready for business (late summer and fall).

Media coverage:

One thing about POR and FOTR working on the Rubicon (and especially Lance, our main man here) is GOOD media coverage for Rubicon projects. If you have not seen our Ch. 5 media coverage from our 2001 big work weekend, it's worth a look. GREAT stuff and Lance was our PR dude, hand-shaking, and back-slapping guy that he is. :)

Clubs and groups should always reach out to do their own good PR.
