I'm trying to decide what springs to run on my Scout 800 and my options are kinda limited. I want to run some nice long springs for flex and ride but I don't have a lot of frame for mounting. One possible candidate I'm considering is rear Wagoneer springs front and rear. If I remember right they have the center pin offset 5" and I would be running them front and rear with the long ends towards the middle of the truck. My concern is that with the offset center pin the spring perch will end up pointing towards the ground under droop and bind my driveshaft. Has anyone ever expirenced what I'm talking about? Is a 5" offset over a 57" spring enough to be concerned about? Opinions?
Thanks

Sorry bud..but they are too long. I have Front waggy's in the front and the rear was/is set up to run front waggy's also but I have land rovers on there now. The front are off set and they are about as long as you can possibly fit on there.

But I have a really big hammer:D Are you sure they won't fit. I thought with a 24"front length I could sneak 'em in. I knew it would be a tight fit though. We put a set on my buddy's 4Runner last weekend and they flexed like crazy, unfortunately they pushed the axle back 4 inches:emb4: . Oh well, so how do the stock waggies hold up to the Scout's bulkitude? I'm still running a 345 and don't plan on getting anything lighter. I was thinking maybe some 44044s or 2" lift Tuff country springs for a Chevy could work too. I know Chevys flex great with them. I do like the idea of running the flat wags if they'll hold up. Were you happy with the results you got from front Wag F&R? I've seen pics of your Scout with the Rovers out back and it's sick. I don't think I'll stumble upon any Rovers in the boneyard though. Any other ideas are welcomed. I'm just killing time web wheeling until I get my tranny back. Then I can actually put my poor Scout back together:eek: . It's been a year, I think it's been punished long enough and has learned it's lesson about not running:p . Thanks for bursting my bubble.

I run 57" long bronco 2 springs in the rear of my toy and with dual shackles they flex :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
I've played with the idea in the front and I just don't think it would work though:(
