How easily does a CJ front clip (grill, fenders, hood) mate to a YJ tub and frame? Has anyone tried this? Any advice?

I have seen a yj front put onto a cj7 and I was informed that the tub on a cj7 and a yj are the same.

Bolt on.

Pretty close to bolt on, just a little messing around to line up some of the holes.
Go for it - no more ugly square lights.

the lower portions of the fenders need modifications because the front portion of the frame is 4" wider on a yj than a cj. In addition, the very front body mount for the grill is a bit higher on a yj frame than a cj frame.. this will cause the front clip to look goofy unless you address this issue. :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow:
