: Balanced suspension/More Moab Pics

When talking about a suspension set-up being balanced, I'm assuming it refers to the front and rear having equal travel both up and down. Is this correct? If so, looks like mine is pretty well balanced because the front and rear axles make a nice little X (although the rear will droop a little more).

This pic was taken on Mashed Potato's and the area is Bashfull's Crack.

Last one. If you guys are tired of me posting pics like this let me know and I'll try to post them elsewhere with just a link. This pic was along Golden Spike trail.

Your Zuki flex's nice :D
Pics are always good, even if they get ya ragged on a bit, but yours shouldn't. Can you give us something a bit closer so we can see how things are twising up, I like to see and compair setups and the like.

Next year, I'll be back at Moab. Till then, its build, break, build, repete till I get what I like.

Jeepman:
Yep, that's the same one, Jake's new rig. I only got to see it driving through town, would have liked to have seen it on the trail.

Flexysammy and Orionn:
I don't have any close-ups of the suspension on the trail unfortunately. I'm still waiting on pics from one more friend, so I might get some. If you do a search for me you'll see a post I did a few weeks back that have pics of the suspension in the garage. The rear uses the Spidertrax frame mounting bracket and springs, then I made my own crossmember and links and link mounts. So far, I'm pretty happy with it. I need to redo the upper link housing on the axle because it's a little weak and it needs moved back a little.

Here's a side view on Golden Spike. You can sorta see the suspension links a bit.

Nice pictures, I remember your Posty a few weeks back. I'll go back and look for it again. How did the Claws work out for ya? Alot of people rag on them, but in the rock they seem fine.

Orionn,
Overall I liked them quite a bit. They really didn't seem quite as soft as the boggers and didn't seem to stick quite as well. But, they did stick well enough, and the biggest difference was they didn't slide sideways like the boggers did (I never got around to siping or grooving the boggers). So, for the tradeoff of not being quite as sticky but not sliding sideways I was very happy with them. I'm anxious to try them in some wet weather up here in the NW, that'll be the real test because the boggers were great up here.
