Ok I guess since I have a couple Toyotas too I get to answer. I'm assuming your getting axles out of a Scout 2 since getting axles out of an 80 or 800 would be pretty dumb. If the truck the axles came out of is 75 or newer you get 44s front and rear. you gear these clear down to 5.88 if you like teeny tiny pinions. Now I don't mean to tell you how to build you truck but there are better choices the Scout 2 axles, especially for a Toyota. The SCout axles have no caster, they won't line up with your stock hangers, and they have the wrong bolt pattern. If I were you I'd pick up a Chevy Dana 44. They're cheaper and you have a lot more options with them. You can outboard your hangers and run them full width, cut down the long side 2" and run them really wide in the stock hangers, Or cut the long side 4" and the short side 2" and have a tollerable axle width that bolts into your stock hangers. Plus they are already 6 lug and have a good deal of caster. Or then again you can just run Toyota axles until your broken Birfeild collection warrants the swap. A dana 44 isn't THAT big of a step up over Toyota anyway. So anyway there's my $.05, keep the change.
