This is why.. if I had my druthers... which I rarely do, I would rather have someone (a BIG dude) holding a strap on my front bumper so they can keep a constant pull downard on up climbs. The guys in competition do this all the time. Just an added safety factor and for them...... u loose time and points if you roll.

Currie I have been told actually has a ram set up on their TJ so they can suck the front end downard on climbs like this to help keep the weight distrabution stay low in front.

I believe that the strap now falls in the tool catagory, 14 pt. penalty. As far as the ram, don't know if Currie is, but a lot of guys have a hydraulic leveling type setup. They can raise and lower each wheel, as well as shift wieght to one side.

6 months after you bought it? That had to have been some serious "Oh Shit factor" there :D:eek:

Hell, I've had Jeeps since 1994, and I still think I'd shit myself if I almost flopped over backwards on that!!! :D

Thats one of the only pics I have seen (ahem) that properly represnts the Pad.

note the first 2 pics are from 1998 when bellyup went down...

the last 2 are from 1997, just wanted those first pics up to show what helicopter pad is all about... :D
