I own a 1985 F-250 4x4, I bought a set of 5 OEM factory over-the-cab lights from the dealer; I was wondering if there was an easy way to install them without it looking shitty. I would like it to be a perfect install or close to. I was thinking maybe someone makes a template or something?!?!? Thanx for the info.

Well, since no one wanted to help out, I will post a reply saying that I got them on with no problems, and they look damn good. Thanx for nothing.

for the Mods this is not flaming,
OK you ungrateful little fawk, i am sorry that no one here could make the time to answer your question. Last time i checked they came with a paper template in the box and if not it is pretty frigen easy to trace one on a piece of paper to mock it up.
what is there like 3 hole per light  is it that hard?
so you installed it with no help bere BIG FAWKING DEAL !!!!!! all you had to do was say
"hey i got them on with no problems, nevermind"
instead you have to be a dick and make yourself look like an asshat.
grow the fawk up

I hope you installed them 1 - 3 - 1 like the DOT requires, and not evenly spaced, because that looks stoopid.

No they are over the cab lights they will look chity no mater how or who put's them on. Calm down just because it goes on a 4wd truck does not mean that you can get the answer here. I am sure someone has done them before but who is to say that they got to your post? With the "since no one wanted to help out" way of looking at things people WILL be less likely to help you.
That said glad you got it done :flipoff2:

-Jason- I would prefer to think that we didn't answer his question because it has absolutely, positively NOTHING to do with what this website is about, Newbie thread and all :D :D :D

Pretty much hu:D I don't like to flame people anymore, I like to think I'm a little "above" that kind of behavior, but had he asked me that question face to face, I likely would have open hand slapped him:D:D:laughing:   repeatedly
