wanted to know where you could find some info on finding dana 44's front and rear w/disks all around. What type and year of vehicle could you look for. If you want to put 44s in a 92' YJ and keep the same width.

Just about any Dana 44 is going to have discs in front. The only ones with disc rear would be from an Isuzu Rodeo. Do your own disc swap instead of making it part of your search criteria. First thing you can do to help is use the search button.:flipoff2:

80 and up Waggy axles are good for the 44 front driverside drop, all with disks, some with manual hubs, some not. Doesn't really matter since you'll put in warn hubs anyways. Some years has vac. disconnect, avoid it like a pregnant teenage girl. 79 and older was pass. side drop, unless your putting in a 300 reg. style, you'd have an awfully bad front driveshaft angle with one. :D

86 they started with a D44 rear, drums. Never had rear disc from the factory, as stated above, add it later, don't limit your search. Before 86 had AMC 20, but with one piece shaft. Word is stronger than a 44, but can only go down to 4.56.

I picked mine up for $400 f/r with springs, in a yard. $200 is about the max I would pay, but your limited to years w/o vac. disconnect, and mine was in great shape. Many have paid less, but they are starting to become less common, and are costing more, at least here in the valley. I was quoted as much as $600 for one front WITH vac. disconnect at a local jeep junkyard, course the guy was an ass anyways, so it didn't matter.

Front is SUA, rear is SOA, probably not the right perch width, but I'm not sure as I have TJ. 6 on 5.5 pattern, but can go to 5 on 5.5 front with Ford outers. Flat to knuckles are common, but their price is going up as people are finding out their desired. Front is around 59-60"ish wide, rear us just under 59" (or so I've read, mine are apart right now so can't measure).

You can learn ALOT from the search button. :flipoff2:

I have nearly 20 waggy axle specific posts bookmarked on my computer, and there are at least that many more. At least a half dozen writeups on the net as well about putting them in YJs. Much easier than a TJ since you don't have brackets.

The Waggy front is pretty much a bolt in, except you probably want SOA & hi-steer.
