TBI's for the 305 are pretty plentiful. I would either convert the ignition over to the FORD big cap or GM hei.

There is a company that can make the GM computer controled distributor to work with the stock GM TBI stuff.

I orginally had a 258 in my CJ for a long time, I upgraded to the 304 and it was big improvment on the hills, Now I run a 360.

The mega squirt is a home built computer that runs a tbi unit, just jack the tbi off of a caprice or something and your set.
