Ok, so your supposed to be able to run the CV in back with little vibration. Any of you guys got pictures of your setup? Looking for pictures from the side of the pinion showing the angle the pinion points. First try was too high, second looked good but the truck still had some vibes when slowing down

it might save some time if you showed your pics first, just an idea :D
You need to off-set the rear end on the Toyota. I tried the 79-85 and did not like it at all.

Is that a cut down Toyota front drive shaft? That's about the angle I had but I got a lot of vibes around 30mph. Anyone else have any pictures? I have been busy fixing the steering linkage problems so I haven't had a chance to mess around with the rear driveline yet.

Haven't had a chance to scan those yet. I have been spending my lunch hour and about 6 hours after work every night messing around with the Zuk. I'll try and get to them on Friday. I honestly didn't think this swap would take so long but I have had a lot of steering interferences. I moved my steering box forward 4 inches, also cut and re-welded some new spring pads to the front to get the pinion angle a littler more driveshaft friendly at full droop. Shock hoops are on, need bumpstops, have to box the front spring perches and flex the suspension some more to make sure the draglink doesn't hit the springs still.

When you put this together, you need to get a protractor, and set the pinion angle 2* less than the drivleline angle....
Now if the angle is too much for the type of CV joint you have it will vibrate anyways....
My driveline angle sits about 20*, the tcase is tilted 5* so the working ujoint angle on the CV is 15*....The CV i bought from Arizona Driveling has a working angle of i think 25*...Max of 40*....
The standard max is 27*, with a working of about 15*
Check you driveline angle and your pinion angle....Make sure that your pinion angle is less than your driveline angle....and not the same or more!

That is the stock 1983 front cv drive shaft in my rig , not cut down at all. I get absolutly no vibes and i measured the angle with my hands. all i did was make sure the pinnion flange pointed straight up to the T.C. flange. Ill try to post a better pic ASAP.
